I read about this project a while ago, and am psyched that it’s still going forward. So, get submittin’!

Hi Tera:
Thank you for posting the call. The deadline is now Wednesday, November 19.
Have a great weekend,

Hey Tera, just wondering if you were OK, as you haven’t blogged in over a month. Hope you have just been busy, and haven’t given up blogging, cos i really appreciate your writing…
(also, have you seen the Spanish disability-themed horror-comedy Accion Mutante? Would be really interested in your thoughts on it…)
Hi, Shiva!
I haven’t given up blogging–I’ve just been busy, and I hope I can find a schedule where I can write all the things I’d like to write.
Actually, I didn’t know about Accion Mutante. It *definitely* sounds interesting. (I’ve been meaning to see El Dia de la Bestia, too).
Just as a warning, it contains quite a lot of casual misogyny. It’s also… probably less of a disability film per se than it’s made out to be by the fairly little info about it on the internet. For its general style, imagine (if you can) a script from an episode of South Park, but done in live action with “realistic” gore and violence, with large chunks of Terry Gilliam and 2000AD mixed in… definitely not for everyone…
Haven’t seen any of Iglesia’s other films, so i have no idea if it’s typical of him…
Good to know you have more posts coming 🙂 I too have been a lot busier than i have wanted to be recently, but got plans for a few more substantial posts coming up…
